They Only Breathe at Night

“They Only Breathe at Night” is a series of paintings focused on the mixed shapes of plants and humans having sexual intercourses during the course of a night. In hectic times where the daylight is used to work, produce and be part society, the night ironically seems the most peaceful moment to really connect with oneself and with others. To transform, to love, to breathe. Breathing refers to being human again at night, only for the sake of being in the world, not only occupying a physical space, but also transforming with the surroundings. But breathing also alludes to the process of breathing for plants that occurs at night.
